Atlanta Perishables Group
The Atlanta Perishables Complex, operated by Perishables Group International, JV, LLC, is one of the largest and finest equipped airport perishable storage and handling facilities in the world. The Atlanta Perishables Complex is specially designed to maintain the refrigerated integrity of perishable commodities during the import and export process. |
The state-of-the-art design features of the complex allow the facility to be a integral part of the movement of perishables commodities through Atlanta from all parts of the world. The facility is approved by the USDA-APHIS-PPQ to apply “cold treatment” to import fruits and vegetables requiring treatment in the southeast United States.

The security of the facility is enhanced with a state of the art closed circuit camera security system. The facility also boasts a high tech x-ray system for the inspection of cargo pre-approved and regulated by US Customs and Border Protection. |

In February 2004, USDA-APHIS-PPQ also approved the Atlanta port be able to import propagated material. The addition of these products will enhance the complex with the expansion of the USDA Plant Inspection Station set to open late 2005. |
